Une offre « gratuite » de Microsoft pour les assos, c'est un produit d'appel qui peut s'arrêter quand ça l'arrange.

Une offre gratuite reste une dépendance, pratique mais une dépendance. Les conditions d'utilisations peuvent changer, le service peut s'arrêter.

Témoignage d'un ancien ingénieur d'Azure (le cloud de Microsoft). Apparemment, Azure est vraiment un feu de poubelle, monté à la va-vite pour concurrencer Amazon AWS, sans réelle vision. Situation aggravée par le fait que les ingénieurs séniors - ceux qui maitrisaient vraiment le truc - se sont barrés, et le fait que Microsoft préfère investir dans l'IA que dans les personnes.

L’idée du projet Solara n’est pour autant pas dénuée d’intérêt. Si les agents IA tiennent leur promesse, ils pourraient effectivement aider à créer à la volée des interfaces et des outils bien plus adaptés aux besoins spécifiques de chaque utilisateur. Alors que les logiciels traditionnels (et même les OS) imposent un fonctionnement identique pour tous, un agent pourrait en théorie composer une expérience sur mesure et selon le contexte.
Mais au final, l'OS pourrait tourner sur Android, soit Linux. À la fin du projet, Microsoft abandonnerait donc Windows pour Linux.
