When Peter Thiel wrote in 2009, “I no longer believe that [capitalist] freedom and democracy are compatible,” he was not expressing a fringe view. He was following the paradigm’s value hierarchy to its honest conclusion: If capital efficiency is the highest good, then democracy—which gives majorities the power to override market outcomes—is not just inconvenient but illegitimate.

It's used in many applications such as SNMP, CMIP, LSAP. Ididn't encounter a use case yet.

As stated in the video, the ASN.1 GNU library is under-documented and hard to use without examples. The idea, concept and design is well done though.
