The thing is, there was and is nothing wrong with the laptop. Actually, it had better specs than my current laptop that I work on every day. As far as I can tell, this person uses their computer for little more than sending emails, basic browsing, and watching the occasional video. All are things that their hardware could easily manage.
The only thing it couldn’t manage was Windows 11.

L'étude a été menée par Nexthink au premier trimestre 2022. Elle porte sur 3,12 millions de terminaux de 457 organisations clientes de Nexthink de 8 secteurs de marché

Forcing a web browser is never a good idea :/
On bloque les extensions de fichiers en vrac car c'est dangereux, au lieu de fichiers.
C'est oublier la responsabilité de l'OS d’exécuter directement au moindre clic tout ce qui est téléchargé en faisant confiance à l'extension. Pourquoi?
Au contraire sous Linux,
- l'extension de fichier est visible
- le système ne se base pas sur l'extension du fichier mais sur ses données internes pour savoir l'exécuter
- Par défaut, ce n'est pas exécutable.

No other operating system has so many custom, special, weird and quirky ways that require special-case solutions in the code.
The next question is:
- are linux users more tech-savvy and they will report bugs
- are users more willing to report bugs because they are on linux

It is now harder to switch to another default web browser in Windows 11. Nice microsoft....
